Tweet or not to Tweet? I have not. And I really don’t see the point for me personally, but this article today in the Times is interesting and is making me give following some artist I think are cool a second thought.

My Blender Fetish

For the record, I don’t have a blender fetish.
Or even a blender, for that matter.
But amazon.com thinks I do.
Why else would they be sending me so many blender-centric emails every week?
Maybe it’s because I used amazon when I bought my wife a blender for Christmas.
I get lots of emails from amazon – too many, really.
But I haven’t unsubscribed from their mailing list – yet – because usually said emails are useful, keeping me in the loop with new music releases or books related to any of my many non-blender fetishes.

Are apps the new main course?

Mobile is all the rage. Apps are the future. The world as we know it has changed forever.
Now take that sentence and swap out the words ‘mobile’ and ‘apps’ for just about any other marketing buzzword from the past 70 years (radio, TV, outdoor, cable, internet, guerilla, moonvertising).
Rest assured, we’ve heard it all before. So is it different this time?
