Can’t we all just get along?

If you’re a creative, you probably hate account people. If you’re a producer, you probably think creatives are needy prima donnas. If you’re an account executive, you probably think everyone’s out to get you. And if you’re a planner, you probably wonder just what exactly it is you do all day. Oh, wait, that’s what everyone else wonders.
You get the idea.
In agencies around the world, this dynamic is pretty much the same. And while it can be good for a few laughs at times, it is not particularly productive.

The Morning after the Crash

Some years ago, we were working over night to finish our first campaign for a new client.
That’s when it happened.
You know, that thing that only happens when it can’t happen?
Energy peak. Computers, printers, the server, all crashed. Including us.
We lost almost everything.
There were just some few hours until the client’s arrival. And the presentation could not be postponed because the big boss was going to travel later that day.
So, we called some printing companies that were open at that time and they lent some machines and a couple of assistants …

It’s just bad

I have an idea! Let’s put a long copy ad in the mall asking teenagers to behave. They squeezed even more copy on the phone. Teenagers would probably loot the mall if they noticed it.

Every Pigeon Has Its Hole

The following is an interesting thread on LinkedIn that should be required reading for all Marketers (i.e. Clients), Account People and Creative Headhunters.
All except our gracious host, of course – he already knows this stuff.
Would somebody please explain to me the difference between a copywriter and a digital copywriter? Does the latter possess some kind of special talent?
